Dear friends, dear brothers, dear authorities of Mali, dear relatives carrying arms for
whatever reason for whatever reason, dear national and international partners.
Are we going to continue to count the deaths of our parents unjustly, of our brothers,
of our sisters, of our Famas?
Are we going to continue to watch our towns, villages, hamlets and camps go up in
smoke?
Will we continue to watch our brothers and sisters intercepted in buses and never see
them again?
Will we continue to feel unsafe even in our own homes?
Are we going to continue to watch our cattle being carried away and our shepherds
being killed by mercenaries from our own country and others from elsewhere for no
good reason?
Are we going to continue to watch our crops burned and our farmers killed to install
famine?
Are we going to continue to be able to bear on our conscience the cry of her mothers
who will no longer see their children, her wives who will no longer see their husbands
come back home, her children who will no longer see their fathers, her friends separated
from the affection of from each other?
Are we going to continue to watch and do nothing?
The situation of the country deserves the sacred union of all Malians without distinction
of ethnicity, religion or origin.
From 2012 to the present day, has any family in Mali not lost a person in this crisis?
How many families have been bereaved?
How many women have been widowed?
How many children have been orphaned forever?
Dear Malians, when will this situation end?
Is the average Malian not also guilty of this situation?
Let’s ask ourselves about our responsibility. It is really time that our decision-makers tell
us the truth about what is preventing the stability of the country because 9 years is not 9
days (2012 to 2021).
– Let’s discuss among Malians in frankness and honesty, putting Mali above our differences,
– Let us discuss seriously with our authorities the content of the agreement which may be
preventing the stability of the country,
– Let us discuss seriously with our partners who have come to fight on our side,
– Let’s have a frank discussion with the Minusma and Barkhane who, according to many
Malians, are not frank with us (they came for Mali but participate every year in the separatists’
independence party), there’s a catch-22 because the game is double.
In the end, we can if we want to get Mali out of the rut. In any case, it is really time that these
killings stopped. Otherwise, let’s look at how our nation, which was envied and respected has
become the laughing stock of the world.
