Academic / professional background
I graduated in 2019 from the University of Antwerp where I studied Philosophy and Spanish Language and Literature. Right now, I am finishing a master’s degree in Latin American studies at the University of Leiden. I chose to do the Cultural Analysis track of this master’s degree because of my interest in the relationship between art and politics in Latin American societies. For my master’s thesis I am writing about the literary representation of feminicide in Ciudad Juárez, Northern Mexico.
What does Voice4Thought mean to you?
Voice4Thought, for me, is a symbiosis of research, art and activism. It symbolizes a place where people, through artistic expression, exchange ideas and listen to each other.
